Eliminate or drastically reduce wasteful paper towels with Unpaper® Towels! They are the perfect zero waste kitchen swap that saves resources, money, and plastic waste. They fit on a standard paper towel tube, are machine washable, and will spice up your kitchen with fun and lively colors!
Think about how much a case of paper towels costs and how often you buy them. Most households spend $100+ per year on disposable towels. Every single one costs money that you will never get back, and then we just toss them in the trash! Now you can put a stop to that and get yourself a set or two of the best zero-waste alternative, UNpaper® Towels.
At $2.50 per reusable towel, each one of these towels will pay for itself in a few days of use, and they will last for several years!
How to use:
Roll them up onto your cardboard paper towel roll (or use a more durable one here) one at a time, slightly overlapping each one. The flannel material will naturally cling together, so you won't need snaps as other brands do.
Once you rolled up all your towels, put the roll on your paper towel holder and use them like you would any paper towel. When they get dirty, place in a basket or other storage container for laundering.
We recommend buying enough UNpaper® Towels to get your household through until laundry day, plus a few extras.
Machine washable in warm water with like colors using your favorite laundry soap.
Use non-chlorine bleach if needed.
DO NOT USE FABRIC SOFTNER, as doing so will reduce absorbency.
Dry in the dryer on low.
Can be ironed with low heat if desired, but not required.

I've been wanting to ditch paper towels for a while and the available patterns are so cute, but they're quite a bit smaller than expected, and not terribly absorbent. I'm glad to have an eco-friendly choice on hand, but wish I'd paid more attention to the product dimensions before buying. They're more like napkins than towels, so that's mostly how I use them. They're ok as cleaning cloths, but not great for cleaning up messes (especially pet messes, which is what I used paper towels for).
Surprised at how well they cling to towel roller. We are relearning how to use “the dishrag” that our moms used before paper towels showed up. They are easy, absorbent and handy on the roller.
I am slowly working on getting better and smarter with my choices. We are a family of 7 and fly through things like laundry, paper towels and such. Now that they're all almost adults, we can all do better with our choices. I also see how they follow what I'm doing and are interested in making better choices as well. These mini towels are great and now when they see one being used over and over and washed, I appear to be less "gross" than reusing paper towels, so it's a win for me.
These are just as handy as paper towels, but much more useful. I love not using disposable products.
Even after 4 washing cycles, these do not seem to work at all for wiping up spills. They don't absorb liquid well at all. They just smear the water around. I purchased them in order to qualify for free shipping and thought they would be useful, but they are disappointing. They seem to work best for dusting. I will continue to use old, less attractive washcloths for what I was hoping to use these for.
I bought 2 sets of the unpaper towels - spring plaids and the assorted. They feel really nice to use and a great size. At first I had to make myself clean up bad messes with them (spaghetti sauce, for example) because I was a bit scared they may get stained, but so far they have washed up great and still look like new. Kids really like them too and seem more willing to help wipe down the table and help out with cleaning than before.
I cannot give enough praise to these un paper towels. We eliminated regular paper towels from our house over a year ago, but just recently got the un paper towels. WOW! I don’t know why we waited so long. They get so much use in our house, & after multiple cycles in the washer & dryer, they still roll up nicely on the roll. Absolutely no complaints- an amazing alternative!
