Biodegradable Plastic-Free Cellulose Sponges 2 Pack - Plant Material
Did you know that the average dish sponge is made with nylon and micro-plastics that seep into the water system? It gets worse. This micro-plastic never degrades and only ends up getting smaller, ending up in the eco-system and polluting the environment!
Natural sponges are nothing new. Heck, today's sponges are artificial copies of natural sponges found in the ocean. It is cheaper and easier to make them from un-natural materials and harvesting ocean sponges is not ethical for many of us or financially practical, to say the least.
No more! This amazing sponge is made from wood pulp or plant cellulose. It is 100% biodegradable and lasts as long as a store-bought sponge.
These reusable kitchen sponges can absorb 10x their own weight and they are the perfect environmentally friendly sponge for the eco-conscious consumer.
Use just like any other sponge! To disinfect, put in the dishwasher with the dishes or put the damp sponge in the microwave for 30 seconds.
When you are done using it, compost or send to the landfill to decompose naturally.

The sponges hold up just as well any other sponge. Definitely recommend.
A bit large for my poor hands and the dye runs for a day or two. Other than that they are fine.
Great sponge when looking to reduce plastic in your life. Holds up well. Pairs well with ZWO coconut scrub pad, as this being a very soft sponge. Very fair price, in my opinion. Others have recommends to cut it in half to get more use out of the sponge. Still works and holds up very well, even after being cut. It will bleed yellow for the first couple washes. Seems like this sponge should last me at least a month in a house of 2 people.
I’m always on the lookout for zero waste products and I didn’t even think about sponges, so I was very excited to come across these! Even bought some for a few friends.
These sponges are great! They clean well and hold the soap for much longer than ordinary sponges! Love them!
I love that these are compostable and don’t shed micro plastics into our water. They work well, although I’m not yet sure how long they will last. One negative is that the yellow dye bleeds. I understand why they dye them (we are all SO used to using those ubiquitous yellow plastic sponges) but can they leave them natural for an even more eco-friendly product? I will surely buy these again!
I haven't used it yet but it is very spongy. Amazing that this is compostable and just like a plastic sponge. Like others have said it is very large so you can cut it in two and get that much more use out of it!
