Every year millions, if not billions, of single-use plastic swabs end up in the landfill. It is one of the most ridiculous plastic pollutants out there!

For over a hundred years, swabs were made from natural wood and cotton. In today's world, it is more common to see the plastic version in the bathroom, and they are not recyclable! 

These cotton swab sticks are made from bamboo, and the soft tips are made from soft cotton. Both are biodegradable and will remove dirt and makeup from the hard-to-get areas around your eyes and ears. 

These are similar in size to regular cotton swabs, but of course, these are 100% plastic-free, sustainable, and don't come in plastic packaging.  

Each box contains 200 swabs and comes in a sturdy and attractive recycled kraft paper container. After you finish using all the swabs, you can use this container again. It's great for carrying small personal items while traveling!

Best Sustainable Swabs

I've tried a few other brands and Zero Waste is the best, by far. They don't skimp on the cotton, so they don't scrap you. They are soft and rounded. The wood also seems to hold up better and they don't break as easily as other brands.

Great replacement for wasteful cotton swabs!

These were a replacement for non-compostable swabs available in most stores. I wanted something to help reduce my footprint, and these fit the bill perfectly! Plus the packaging is nice and robust. We plan to reuse for as long as we can.

Won't buy any other kind of cotton swab now

Fantastic quality!

Love these! Great quality and not very expensive. They work just as well as any other Q-tip and are compostable! Will definitely be buying more when I run out.

excellent cotton swabs

The bamboo shafts on the cotton swabs allow them to be stronger than the cotton shaft swabs you find at the grocery store. Have already made multiple purchases for these and will continue to do so.
