Swedish Dish Cloth WASHCLOUD® - No Tox Life
A Swedish-style dish cloth that replaces paper towels and traditional sponges in one go. One cloth (6.75" x 7.5") absorbs up to 15× its weight in water, dries fast enough to not get funky between uses, machine-washes, and at end-of-life composts at home. Made in Germany from cellulose/wood pulp + cotton, printed with water-based inks. WASHCLOUD® is a registered trademark of Earth & Daughter, LLC (No Tox Life). 8 pattern options.
- Replaces 10+ rolls of paper towels — one cloth lasts months of regular kitchen use.
- Absorbs up to 15× its weight in water — spills, splashes, and dish washing all handled.
- Quick-drying — dries flat between uses, which prevents the musty smell that builds up in conventional damp sponges.
- Machine-washable — throw in with regular laundry to refresh.
- 100% biodegradable + home compostable — cellulose + cotton, water-based inks, no synthetic fibers.
- Made in Germany — manufactured in Europe; brand is U.S. (Earth & Daughter, LLC).
- 8 pattern options — Avo-Mazing™, Bronze Bells, Citrus Sunrise, Monstera, Ruby Red, Desert Dune, Modern Tracks, Motley Pod.
- Multi-purpose — counters, sinks, stovetops, spills, dishes — anywhere you'd use a regular sponge.
Wet the cloth, wring out excess water, and use like any sponge or rag. Pair with a solid dish block or a few drops of liquid dish soap. Rinse and wring out after use, then hang or lay flat to dry — the cloth dries quickly between uses, which is the difference between a fresh-smelling kitchen and a musty one.
- Machine-wash safe — toss in with regular laundry. Tumble dry low or air dry flat.
- Many users also run them through the top rack of the dishwasher, or microwave damp for 1–2 minutes to sanitize between deep cleanings. (Microwaving when dry is not recommended.)
- One cloth typically lasts months of daily kitchen use; durability depends on how rough you are with it and how often you wash it.
Cellulose (from wood pulp) + cotton — the same plant fibers used in paper towels and cotton rags, pressed and bonded into a thicker, more absorbent sheet. Water-based inks for the printed patterns — no plastic-based dye, no PFAS coatings.
No plastic fibers (no microfiber, no polyester); no synthetic foam; no antibacterial treatments.
- 100% biodegradable — cellulose + cotton break down naturally
- Home compostable — goes into your home compost at end of life, no industrial facility needed
- Vegan — no animal-derived materials
- Cruelty-free — No Tox Life brand standard
