The handle is made from 100% sustainable Bamboo, the airbag is made of natural rubber, and the bristles are made from durable carbonized wood. I wanted to switch from a plastic hairbrush with the bristles falling out to the more sustainable bamboo one. I have wavy/curly hair that gets tangled and have to brush it when it's wet, so was worried about the material getting wet but it does just fine! The build quality is great and I love the smooth feel of the wood. It does a good job at detangling, as much as any other brush would. It also seems like it doesn't pick up as much hair as other brushes do!
This is the best brush for long hair. My daughter has one that I'd been using. She went on vacation and took it with her. The day after she left I bought one for myself. I couldn't use my old one. I can't say how much I love this brush. Doesn't hurt getting those stubborn tangles out. Love it and highly recommend for anyone that has long hair!!
