SOLIDSILK® Vegan Lip Butter
A solid lip butter in a paperboard push-up tube — no plastic housing, no petroleum, no beeswax. SOLIDSILK® uses wildcrafted candelilla wax instead of beeswax to make a fully vegan formula that glides on smoothly and stays put. Four flavors: Lavender Earl Grey (a bergamot-and-lavender riff on the tea), Café Latté (real coffee essential oil with vanillin), Sweet Mint (peppermint with vanillin), and Vanilla Cloud (vanillin only, the lightest of the four). 7.5 g / 0.26 oz per tube.

- Palm-oil-free, paraben-free — no palm-derived ingredients, no synthetic preservatives.
- Compact and pocket-sized — 7.5 g / 0.26 oz; fits any bag, pocket, or backpack slot.

Twist the bottom of the tube to push the bar up about 1/8". Glide directly across lips. Reapply as needed throughout the day; works well as an overnight treatment with a slightly heavier swipe before bed. Push the bar back down a touch and replace the cap between uses to keep the surface clean.
Allergen disclosure (important): All four variants contain Sweet Almond Oil (a tree nut). Anyone with a tree-nut allergy should avoid this product. Almond oil sits high in every variant's ingredient list, so the exposure is not trace.

Vanilla Cloud: Candelilla Wax*, Cocoa Butter**, Coconut Oil**, Sweet Almond Oil, Avocado Oil, Vanillin, Ethyl Vanillin, Stevia Leaf** (no essential oil — the lightest of the four scents).
Notes on the less-common ingredients:
- Candelilla Wax — a plant wax from the candelilla shrub (Mexico); the vegan structural alternative to beeswax.
- Vanillin / Ethyl Vanillin — the molecules that make vanilla smell like vanilla. The ones No Tox Life uses are vegan-sourced (vanillin can also be derived from non-vegan sources, but theirs is not).
- Stevia Leaf — here as a natural sweetener for taste; not a sugar-substitute claim, just a touch of leaf for flavor.
People with lavender, bergamot, or peppermint sensitivities should choose Vanilla Cloud (no EO).
- Vegan — no animal-derived ingredients (no beeswax, no lanolin, no carmine)

Net weight per tube: 7.5 g (0.26 oz) per the package. Standard slim lip-balm size — fits in any pocket or bag. The package shows a PAO (Period After Opening) icon of 12 months: once you open the tube, the formula stays fresh for a year of normal use. Storage range printed on the tube: roughly 3.5°C to 35°C (under 95°F) — do not leave it in a hot car (cocoa butter softens above body temperature).
Paper push-up tube with a printed paper label — no plastic housing, no shrink wrap, no plastic cap insert. The tube itself is home-compostable once empty. ZeroWasteOutlet ships in paper or cardboard mailers and recycled paper void fill, never plastic.
- Use down to the end: push the bar all the way up and scrape the last bit onto your finger.
- Paper tube: flatten and recycle with paper, or tear down for home compost. If your local stream accepts coated paper, the printed label can go in there too.
- No plastic to separate — nothing about this tube needs special disposal handling.

So pleased to see that this is truly plastic free. I have previously purchased cardboard tubes and been sadly disappointed to find plastic cores. There is no green washing here. And I love the smell and application too. Would buy again

This is a really nice product. It's a great alternative to chap stick and so awesome that it's vegan!
I have a lot of allergies and slin issues so I can’t use a lot of lip products. These are like a dream! Not as drying as Burt’s bees but not as moisturizing as a lip mask.
I’m also really obsessed with the recyclable tube. It feels much less wasteful. The flavors are also phenomenal

For the longest time I was a Burt’s bees customer until they were bought by Clorox and changed their formula. I’m never going back.
The lip butter is smooth. It’s not sticky or waxy once you get it going. The formula is light but still heavy enough where you know you have something on moisturizing.
These lip butters last me on average 9 months to a year and I apply multiple times a day. For two years I refused to try any other scent than the Lavender Earl Grey. I recently bought the Vanilla Cloud and it may be my new favorite.
The cafe latte is okay in my opinion. It smells amazing but due to it being coffee it’s a little grainy. ( I guess some built in exfoliator if you will) the lavender earl grey is just a tiny tiny bit grainy, the vanilla cloud is just that super smooth.
The cardboard tubes hold up. Like I said I use mine often and they last. The only wear and tear I have experienced is minimal. The most that has happened is the outside “plastic” layer sloughing off, which wasn't an issue the cardboard still held up. I have accidentally washed them and left them to dry and they still last!!
It feels good but sadly it turns out that while I like both lavender and earl grey in other contexts, together in lip balm they don't work for me

Love, love, love this lip butter. I love it's compact size and that it is a little wider than most other lip balms/butters. It glides on so very smoothly, and the lavender/earl grey is delicious.

Hydrating and stays on long! The vanilla cloud scent isn’t overpowering and although it is a bit smaller than I was expecting, I believe it will last a long time. Love the packaging too

I bought the bulk amount and have been giving these out to everyone! The mint has a slight cooling effect on the skin and the vanilla tastes delicious! My lips are addicted to chapstick and now I don’t have to feel guilty about it! Love love love these!
The texture is nice and goes on smoothly, and I love that the packaging is not plastic. However, for the amount of balm in the tube, it’s rather pricey. Also, it contains almond oil (which I neglected to read when I bought it). I live in a state with drought restrictions, and almonds require a LOT of water to grow. Consequently, I avoid products with any almond product in it.
I have found my new favorite lip balm and will be ordering more for holiday gifts!

I bought the 5 pack lip balm in vanilla and cafe latte thinking I would make some of them stocking stuffers at Christmas. I also wanted to switch (and hopefully love) because of the earth-friendly packaging. I am thrilled on all accounts! Love the mild scent, long lasting balm and the packaging.
Goes on smooth, light, and doesn't feel thick but definately moisturizes. I love the Earl Grey and have told all my friends about it!

As a very avid chapstick user, I was hesitant to deviate from my (plastic) brand - but I love the Zero Waste Vanilla. I actually ordered this brand and another's at the same time to compare, and I definitely prefer Zero Waster. 10/10 would recommend.

I got the Earl Gray Soludsilk vegan lip butter- I love it! I have always thought that lip protection could easily come in a paper container- one that would not leave list or partially used plastic lip protection tubes and caps all over the outdoors. I finally found one with the wonderful plus that the ingredients are natural not weird laboratory derivatives and lab created scents that give me a headache. Absolutely fantastic!
