Adult Bamboo Toothbrush
There is really no need for a plastic toothbrush anymore. An estimated 50 million pounds of plastic toothbrushes end up in landfills every year, and each one sticks around for centuries. Switching to a bamboo handle is one of the easiest plastic habits to break.
These brushes have a smooth, contoured bamboo handle that feels solid in your hand and biodegrades once you are done with it. The bristles are contoured too, so they reach the back teeth and the spots a flat brush tends to miss.
- Smooth, contoured bamboo handle that biodegrades
- Contoured medium-firmness bristles that reach back teeth and tight spots
- BPA-free nylon bristles
- Vegan
- 7.5" tall
- Choice of three handle colors: Rainbow, White, or Charcoal
The handle is bamboo. The bristles are medium firmness, the same medium feel across every handle color, and are made from BPA-free nylon. Like nearly all toothbrush bristles, the nylon is not compostable, so it is removed before the handle goes in the compost (see disposal below).
Brush as you would with any toothbrush. Rinse it and stand it upright to air-dry between uses so the bamboo handle stays dry and lasts longer. Replace it every few months, just like a plastic brush.
7.5" tall.
When it is time for a new brush, pull the nylon bristles out with a pair of pliers and discard them, then compost the bamboo handle or bury it in the garden, where it will break down naturally.
