Laundry day doesn’t have to mean hauling giant plastic jugs and pouring mystery chemicals into your washer. This concentrated laundry soap bar lets you skip the jug entirely: you just dissolve the bar in your own container to make a full gallon of liquid detergent that’s tough on dirt, gentle on skin, and incredibly light on the planet. Instead of paying to ship water and plastic, you’re stocking up on pure, plant-based cleaning power — up to 256 loads from one small bar!

By switching from big plastic jugs to this concentrated laundry soap bar, you’re cutting plastic, cutting toxins, and cutting clutter — all while keeping your clothes fresh and truly clean.

Features

  • Ultra-concentrated & long-lasting – One compact bar makes about 1 gallon (128 oz) of liquid laundry detergent, enough for up to 256 loads depending on load size and soil level.

  • Zero-waste liquid detergent – Paste-style bar dissolves in your own container (mason jar, old detergent jug, growler, etc.). Cut the bar into smaller pieces to mix only what you need for your space.

  • Plant-based, biodegradable formula – Made with coconut and olive oil soap, soap nuts liquid, yucca powder, baking soda, oxalic acid, salt, and rosemary oleo resin — no synthetic fragrances, optical brighteners, dyes, phosphates, or SLS.

  • Gentle on skin, powerful on grime – Low-sudsing formula that’s safe for sensitive skin and baby clothes while still tackling sweat, dirt, and everyday stains. Works in all machines, including HE and front loaders.

  • Naturally softens clothes – The ingredients help soften fabrics on their own, so you can often skip separate fabric softener altogether.

  • EWG “A” rated & greywater-friendly – Recognized for safer ingredients and designed to be biodegradable, making it a more responsible choice for your home and waterways.

  • Space-saving & travel-ready – No sloshing jug, no leaks, and no paying to ship water — just a small bar you activate at home.

  • A sticker is included for labeling your jar. This sticker shows recommended usage amounts for easy reference. See the Dulition Ratio section for more info.

Compared to conventional detergents that are mostly water in a single-use plastic jug, this bar dramatically cuts plastic waste, shipping weight, and the flow of harsh chemicals into rivers and oceans — without sacrificing clean clothes.

Dilution Ratios:

  • One full bar – one gallon (128 oz) water
  • Half bar – 64 ounces of water
  • Quarter bar – 32 ounces of water
  • Eighth bar – 16 ounces of water
  • Sixteenth bar – 8 ounces of water

Packaging

  • Product packaging: The solid bar is completely plastic-free and comes in minimal, recyclable paper/cardboard packaging with a simple label or sticker for directions (no plastic wraps, pods, or films).

  • Shipping materials: Orders are packed using only recyclable paper-based materials — cardboard boxes printed with water-based inks, kraft paper, crinkle paper, and paper tape and stickers. Absolutely no plastic air bags or Styrofoam peanuts are used.

  • Everything that arrives with your bar is either reusable, recyclable with paper, or home-compostable, in line with ZeroWasteOutlet’s commitment to low-waste shipping.

Dimensions

  • Bar weight: Approximately 3.5 oz (99 g) solid concentrate bar.

  • Dilution ratio: One 3.5 oz bar makes about 1 gallon (128 oz) of liquid detergent, or up to 256 loads when used sparingly in high-efficiency or modern washers.

  • Because the bars are handmade, slight variations in bar shape and size are normal and do not affect performance.

End of Life Disposal

  • Detergent bar & liquid:

    • Use up completely in your laundry — that’s the ideal “end of life.”

    • Any tiny bar scraps can be dissolved in warm water and used as an all-purpose cleaning solution (for floors, rags, or heavily soiled items), so nothing goes to waste.

    • The formula is plant-based and biodegradable; normal household use of the diluted detergent is safe to go down the drain, including for most greywater and septic systems (always follow local guidelines if you’re in a sensitive area).

  • Packaging:

    • Paper/cardboard wrapper, label, and any paper padding can be recycled with paper or home-composted. For faster composting, tear into smaller pieces first.
