Fragrances are created by mixing aroma isolates with essential oils. These aroma isolates are used to produce scents that are not sustainable or practical in nature, or for cases where the natural option is not vegan.

Some notes found in these blends that are not sustainable in the "natural" version include vanilla (extracted from animals and also from Madagascar, which costs thousands of dollars per pound), sandalwood (unsustainable in nature and over-harvested, making it endangered), and rose (costs thousands of dollars per pound for rose essential oil and requires 6 acres of roses to produce a pound of essential oil).

These aroma isolates are blended to mimic scents found in nature without using animal or unsustainable ingredients. They are then combined with proprietary blends of essential oils to create alluring scents.

All fragrances adhere to the standards set by the International Fragrance Association (IFRA) and are free of phthalates, harmful plasticizers used to extend cheap fragrances. As a result, they may not last as long as other types of fragrances and are much milder.

My new favorite soap!

I have dry skin and lots of allergies, so I am very happy to have discovered these moisturizing vegan soap bars. I like the pumpkin and turmeric/ginger versions and neither of them contain almond oil, which I cannot use. The soap lathers well and does not leave a residue on my skin. I will be ordering a lot more of these in the future.

The Best Soap!

I've used several different brands of homemade soap over the years and this one is by far my favorite! It suds up really well and it's not at all stripping which is something I battle with other soap. I'm excited to try out all the different scents.

Nice homey soap

The rose scent is very strong! Soap initially does not feel moisturizing at all, feels like it is stripping my skin. But a couple minutes later and afterward, skin feels very soft!
