Eco-Friendly Dish Washing Block
Washing your dishes just became a whole lot greener with an eco-friendly alternative to plastic bottled dish soap. The No-Tox Life Dish Washing Block not only makes your dishes spotless but takes your kitchen to a new level of sustainability!
Worldwide, around one million plastic bottles are bought every minute, and only half of that number gets recycled. You know what that means. The rest ends up either in a landfill or even worse, somewhere in our oceans.
Cleaning in the kitchen no longer needs to be wasteful or have a harsh environmental impact. Actually, cleaning our homes in general no longer needs to be wasteful. This cleansing block serves multiple purposes, such as cutting through thick grease and grime on your dishes, removing stains on your clothes, taking labels off of jars so you can repurpose them, or even as a spot treatment for carpet stains.
At 5.9 oz, each dish bar will last you months before you need to restock. Depending on how many dishes need to be washed on a daily basis, one block can last you more than six months! Something we love about zero-waste is that saving the planet also means saving yourself time and money.
No-Tox Life says it right there in their name, but we also should mention that these dishwashing bars are non-toxic and 100% safe for daily use. No harsh chemicals or parabens were used in the making of these bars. In other words, there’s no chance that anything toxic will end up in the ocean from using these blocks!

Dishwashing is one of those things that’s pretty ironic. We put loads of energy towards keeping the inside of our homes spotless while our actual home, the earth, is the one that needs the deepest clean. We may not need to scrub the surface of our earth as we would with our countertops, but we do need to practice zero-waste, repurposing, and sustainability as much as possible.
A simple swap from plastic bottled soaps to a dishwashing block will reduce your carbon footprint a lot more than you might think. Let’s face it. We’ll be washing dishes every day for the rest of our lives. As dreadful as that probably sounds, it’s even worse to think about how many plastic bottles each of us have thrown away over the course of our lives so far.
If a dishwashing block will save us money, last months longer than our traditional soap, and reduce our plastic waste all at the same time, then it just makes sense for us to make this swap!
How to Use:
We won’t tell you how to wash your dishes, but you might need a few tips when switching from liquid soap to a block of soap.
Instead of pouring the soap on your dishes, grab a wet cloth towel, sponge, or scrubbing brush and rub it all over the block until it suds. Just wash your dishes as usual and rinse thoroughly! It’s that easy.
To keep the block dry and in place when it’s not in use, it’ll fit perfectly inside the Moso Bamboo Soap Dish, which has an open bottom for proper drainage.
For the best results, try rubbing the block with the Palm Brush or a scouring pad for a sudsy lather!

It's been great so far
It is not a difficult transition from liquid to bar soap. It lathers, cleans and degreases great.
I have noticed a smell come off of my pots and pans when I heat them up on the stove and I finally realized it is residue from the soap. I am really trusting and hoping it's not just non-toxic for the environment but also for people, because I do believe some of it is being cooked into my food.
Cleans well, and a little goes a long way.
Works great--lasts as long as a Costco-sized traditional hand soap bottle.
Takes a little get used to but once you do this product is great, smells cleaner and leaves less residue on dishes than typical plastic bottled dish soap.
Love the dish soap! It foams up nicely and seems to get everything clean.
Great little block of soap. Works well with the wooden soap dish. I ordered again.
